009.019 Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims, or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and strive with might and main in the cause of Allah? They are not comparable in the sight of Allah: and Allah guides not those who do wrong.

Prerequisites of Sohbat e Sadiqeen
- Do not take the initiative of any task before the sadiq whose company you intend to seek, irrespective whether big or small.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ 049.001 O Ye who believe! Put not yourselves forward before Allah and His Messenger; but fear Allah: for Allah is He Who hears and knows all things. 
- Do not raise your voice above the voice of sadiq whose company you intend to seek
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ 049.002 O ye who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, - Be soft spoken - do not shout. Have a moderately modulated voice.
وَلا تَجْهَرُوا لَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَنْ تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ لا تَشْعُرُونَ 049.002 nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not. - Do not stand at his door step and call him
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحُجُرَاتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لا يَعْقِلُونَ 049.004 Those who shout out to thee from without the inner apartments - most of them lack understanding. - Do not order your mentor, nor instruct him to do or not to do some task
وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الأمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ 049.007 And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: - Heart to be inclined towards imaan (faith)
وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الإيمَانَ 049.007 But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, - To prefer imaan (faith) above all
وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ 049.007 and has made it beautiful in your hearts, - To hate unbelief
وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ 049.007 and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, - To hate wickedness
وَالْفُسُوقَ 049.007 wickedness, - To hate rebellion
وَالْعِصْيَانَ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ 049.007 and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;-
